The i-EFIS application offers a simulation of a contemporary glass cockpit suitable for general aviation activities. Its features include the integration of sensor data from iOS devices, providing an enhanced user experience for pilots and enthusiasts alike.

Key functionalities comprise the presentation of attitude indicator data driven by a 3D MEMS chip, with speed and altitude information sourced from either internal or external GPS devices—note that only iOS devices with cellular connectivity possess an integrated GPS module. Additionally, users can connect their iPhone to an iLEVIL "SW," "AW," or "Sport" device via Wi-Fi to obtain precise attitude and GPS data, available through units sold by LEVIL or various pilot shops. The application displays a configurable course rose, adjustable between 80 and 360 degrees with a simple tap on the airplane icon.

• It provides both magnetic and true GPS track readings, displayed in white with corresponding track lines, along with magnetic or true heading information. Headings are sourced from the internal compass, which may occasionally yield less reliable results.
• The Pro version extends functionality by incorporating a global airport database. It consistently indicates the bearing to the nearest airport based on your current position, including distance, elevation, and the main runway orientation.

Operationally, the interface is designed for intuitive adjustments:

1. Tapping the speed window cycles through units—km/h, mph, and knots—with speed data derived from GPS ground speed.
2. Tapping the altitude window toggles between feet MSL and meters MSL.
3. Tap the course window to switch between Magnetic Heading, True Heading, Magnetic Track, and True Track modes. GPS track modes are displayed in white, heading modes in yellow.
4. The airplane symbol allows toggling between a comprehensive 360-degree course rose and an 80-degree segment for focused navigation.

The Pro version introduces additional features enhancing usability:

1. Tap on runway orientation info to view runway length details.
2. By tapping and sliding the course window upward, users can hide the attitude indicator for full-screen operation.
3. Magnetic heading calibration is facilitated by tapping the course window to display "HDG," then sliding left or right using the airplane's compass as a reference to set the correct heading.
4. To select an airport other than the nearest, simply tap the airport symbol; tapping an empty space reverts view to the closest airport's data.

The airport database feature in the Pro version allows users to toggle its visibility in settings and provides zoom functionalities via two-finger pinch gestures on the airport map. Additional features are in development to further enhance user experience.
